Painting Master Class

By Admin | In Category On Tuesday 16th April, 6 pupils from class 6 of Hartlebury CofE Primary School and 5 pupils of Wilden all saints visited the Wolverhampton art gallery. When we arrived at Wolverhampton we entered the art gallery, we were a few minutes early and we journeyed our way through the puppets. They had all the real puppets of: Thunderbirds, captain scarlet, Prince Charles, Basil brush, Button moon, Ivor the engine and the clangers. After the puppets, Rob (our monitor) showed us different types of art we saw: Victorian, modern and south African. At the end of the tour we drew faces in five simple steps after drawing the faces we painted them on an easel or table. next we had our lunch. After lunch we painted a model called Nora with acrylic paints it was difficult because we had to make skin tones of our own. Finally we packed up and left at two because we had Wilden at their school when we got back to our school at ten past three. Report by Joshua Purslow and Harrison Flello. Police and Fire Visit

By Admin | In Category The whole school had a truly lovely afternoon on the 8th March finding out about the Police and Fire Services. They met real police dogs, tried on uniforms, sat in a police car, met Peeler the police mascot, toured a fire engine and found out all about how to keep themselves, their homes and their possessions safe. Early Years even got an extra-special visit from two of the lovely police officers who came and answered all the questions they had been writing down as part of their People Who Help Us topic. The police then stayed and spoke to parents about keeping themselves and their possessions safe, offering advice and handing out handbag bells and UV pens. A big thank you to Inspector Jake Wright and Miss Bagnall for organising such a wonderful event which taught us so much about the police and fire service. They definitely do much more than just catching baddies and putting out fires! Please look out for more photos in our Gallery....

Sport Relief Week 2018

By Admin | In Category Sport Relief week was a great success with the children taking part in a number of activities throughout the week. The whole school took part in climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in steps, cycling from Lands End to John O' Groats on an exercise bike demonstarted by Niamh, the Year 6's ran multi-skill festivals for the all the Key Stage 1 children and we even had a special message from a Great Britain Paralympian at the end of the week! Thank you to all our Parents, Children and Staff who took part in Sport Relief on Friday 23rd March 2018. We had over 300 people walking a mile (and more) to raise money for this fantastic charity. Well done! The total raised was £222.85. A special thanks must go to Miss Branagh with help from Mrs Odell for organising such a fantastic week. Thank you as always for your continued support. We really are a fabulous School!
