📚 Reading in unusual places 📚
We’ve absolutely loved seeing all of your entries for our “reading in unusual places” challenge!
From reading on a shed roof, to sharing a story with a pig at the farm, to taking a book along to Legoland—our children have certainly been getting creative!
One of our pupils even managed to fit in some reading during a hospital visit after their trip, which just goes to show how important and comforting a good book can be wherever you are 💛
A huge well done to everyone who took part—we are so proud of the effort, enthusiasm and love of reading you continue to show!
🐾 Bear was hard at work on reception last week! 🐾
Our newest (and fluffiest) member of the team was busy greeting visitors, supervising arrivals and even helping to answer a few emails… although we can’t promise they all made complete sense!
He proved to be a natural—calm, friendly and always ready with a wagging tail to brighten someone’s day. We think he might just be our most popular member of staff!
We’re so proud of how well he has settled into his role and can’t wait to see him continue his journey as our Head of Well-being 💛
🚣♂️ Year 6 Bell Boating Adventure! 🚣♀️
On Friday, our Year 6 children headed out for an exciting bell boating session — and what a fantastic time they had! 🌊
Working together in teams, the children showed brilliant communication, determination and resilience as they paddled their way along the water. There were plenty of laughs along the way, and it was lovely to see everyone encouraging each other and building confidence.
A huge well done to all of Year 6 for their positive attitudes and teamwork — you made us very proud! 👏
🏅 County Champions! 🏅
We are so proud of our amazing Panathlon team who represented Wyre Forest at the Worcestershire School Games County Finals this week — and WON! 🎉
Harry, Mia, Lily and Marshall (Year 6), Henry Boy (Year 5) and Lincoln (Year 3) showed incredible teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the morning. They supported each other brilliantly and gave their absolute best in every event.
A fantastic achievement — well done team! 💛

💐 Celebrating our wonderful mums and loved ones 💐
We loved celebrating our mums and loved ones at a special church service today. It was a lovely time to reflect, say thank you and spend time together as a school community.
After the service, everyone enjoyed tea and cake together, which made it even more special!
We hope all of our mums and special people have a very happy and relaxing Mother’s Day this weekend. 🌸
🧪 Our Amazing Science Fair!
This week our school hall turned into a busy science lab! To celebrate STEM Week, we held a Science Fair and it was fantastic to see the children become real experts for the afternoon.
The hall was full of excitement as we explored all sorts of big questions. We saw balloons inflating using yeast and lightbulbs powered by lemons! The children tested which items would float and investigated which shapes and materials made the very best boats.
We also discovered how plants drink coloured water, how parachutes use air resistance to slow them down, and how light reflects off different objects.
A huge well done to our student leaders who ran the stations. They did a brilliant job explaining their investigations to the rest of the school, from Year 6 all the way down to Reception. It was wonderful to see everyone so curious and eager to learn!
Happy World Book Day! 📚✨
What a brilliant day we’ve had celebrating our love of reading. The children arrived in some incredible costumes, bringing their favourite characters to life and filling the school with colour, creativity and excitement.
Throughout the day we shared stories, joined live lessons, and spent time reading with our wonderful Book Buddies, which is always such a special part of the day. There was a real buzz around school as classes enjoyed lots of reading fun and discovered new books to enjoy.
Happy World Book Day! 📖

Bear’s training to be a therapy dog is going so well! This week, Year 6 had a very special treat as he joined them for a whole morning in class. 🐶✨
From calm reading time to quiet working alongside the children, Bear took it all in his stride and loved every minute of the attention (and the cuddles!).
As you can see… by the time we reached the staff meeting, he was completely pooped! 😴🐾
We are so proud of the progress he is making – and very grateful for the smiles he brings to our school community. 💛
Bend the Rules Day is coming! 😄🎉
We’re kicking off the new half term in the most fun way… ✨
Trainers, non-uniform, unusual hair, cuddly toys and more — the choice is yours!
A small ‘fine’ applies for each rule you choose to bend, with all funds going towards the school.
💰 Fines can be paid in cash on the day.
We can’t wait to see everyone’s creative rule-breaking! 😆👏
