Hot lunches are provided by Shire Services. They are cooked fresh daily on site. All dishes produced meet the government’s ‘Nutritional Standards.’ All children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals.
Shire Services ask that you as parents support the government initiative of Universal Free School Meals and take up this opportunity. Funding for the provision of these meals will be tightly monitored and meals cannot be produced if they are not ordered in advance. At the end of September, if you feel your child no longer wishes to take the meal option, please advise the school office. Parents will then be responsible for providing a packed lunch when they opt out.
All meals are booked and paid for, in advance, via ParentPay. A code will be generated on enrolment to our school. Please see some important information below relating to school lunches:
All meals must be booked by 11.59pm, the Thursday before. After this time, you will be unable to book meals
- If your child has any allergies or dietary requirements, these can be dealt with on an individual basis and should be communicated with the school office.
- If your child is in receipt of Universal Free School Meals, these will need booking through ParentPay.
- The kitchen can provide sandwiches and wraps, as long as these are booked in advance.
- Lunches can be taken on selected days for £2.30 a day or for the whole week at £11.50.
- You can block book meals if that is more convenient. Please speak to the school office if you are unsure of how to do this.
If you are in receipt of any benefits you may also be eligible for Pupil Premium. This will entitle you for Free School Meals in Years 3 to 6 and will also offer support with school trips, music lessons, paid for clubs and other school expenses from Reception Class onwards! Miss Gledhill will be able to help and advise with the application. School receives funding for all children who qualify for Pupil Premium for their entire time here at Hartlebury and this makes a massive difference to our funding. So please don’t be shy and apply!
