On Thursday 8th November 2018, Key Stage 1 and 2 children delivered our Remembrance Service at St James’ Church.
The children showed great respect and solemnity, in tribute to the fallen; 100 Years since the end of the 1st World War.
Years 1-6 children took part in the service, sharing some of their learning and reflections from this important week. Our Early Years Unit made a wreath of poppy hand prints thanking the soldiers. Painted rocks made by the children were placed around the wreath during the service.
It was very moving and humbling to see our children capture the true meaning of Remembrance.
